"The great thing about booking Robin for a workshop is that you always know it's going to go down a storm...with all ages, from small child to retired adult, they always love it!" Beth Flintoff - Outreach Director, Watermill Theatre

"Flintlock Theatre gave our students an outstanding master-class in physical theatre. Their energy, innovation and ideas were invaluable for our students as they prepare for their devised practical assessments in GCSE and A Level Drama. We look forward to inviting them back soon." Drama Dept., Cokethorpe School

10 years of workshop-leading experience, including freelance work, schools workshops and the leadership of Flintlock Youth Company, have lead me to develop a range of workshops ideally suited for students aged 13+

A rigorous approach to text and a leaning towards physical storytelling over technical wizardry, are both defining features of my directorial style, and the workshops I offer usually complement this style.  I'm happy to tailor each workshop to suit the need of the group and I normally finish each workshop with Q&A session, which gives students an opportunity to get answers to their own questions about the work or about the professional theatre industry in general.  Workshops typically last 90-12mins, although I am also happy to offer longer sessions. Below are some of the common themes of previous workshops.

Physical Character Building: Working from the Outside, In

Devising as an Ensemble

Brechtian Theatre Techniques (as applied in contemporary theatre)

Music Composition and Sound Design in Theatre
